About Hilly's

Tree care and landscaping planned around the property.

Hilly's works across Melbourne, with regular jobs in the east, south east, bayside and north. Each enquiry follows the same process: assessment, written scope, scheduling and follow-up. Other Victorian locations are considered by arrangement.

Our approach

Start with the tree, the property and the work being planned.

A recommendation should account for tree condition, site access, nearby structures, retained vegetation and any planning or council controls. Those checks happen before removal, pruning or construction work is scheduled.

Where a tree can be retained safely, the scope may be pruning, support, health care or protection during building work. Where removal is justified and permitted, the quotation sets out the method, equipment and clean-up.

How we assess a job

“Before recommending removal, pruning or retention, we look at the tree, the property, the work you are planning and the controls that may apply.”

About Hilly's Trees & Landscapes

Tree care and landscaping planned together.

Hilly's plans tree work, consulting arborist reports and residential landscaping as one coordinated service. Qualified arborists and other trades are matched to the scope.

Looking at both disciplines together helps avoid preventable conflicts: paving inside a tree protection zone, irrigation that does not suit retained trees, unsuitable replacement planting or access plans that damage the garden around the work area.

We work to AS 4373 for pruning, AS 4970:2025 for tree protection on development sites, and Victoria's Clause 52.37 canopy tree provisions.

Working standard

Clear advice, written scope and documented work.

The quotation records what is included, what is excluded, the proposed method, clean-up and any permit assumptions. If the site changes or additional work is requested, that change is agreed before it is added.

Site photographs and relevant reports are retained with the job record so the advice, approval pathway and completed work can be referred to later.

Next step

Book a site visit.

Tell us the property, the work you are considering and the timeframe. We will confirm the next step and provide the scope and price in writing.
