Tree care

Pruning, removals, stump grinding and advice. Tell us about the tree and what needs attention.

Tree care services

Start with the tree.

We look after trees first, and remove them when that’s the right call. Ask about one job or a few at once.

  1. Pruning and tree care

Care for an established tree, manage its shape or deal with branches that need attention.

    What’s included

    • A look at the tree’s health, structure and what’s around it
    • Deadwood out, with clearance from the roof, lines and paths
    • Crown lifting, thinning and shaping, pruned to AS 4373
    • Hedges and palms trimmed too, including old fronds and seed pods
    • Green waste taken away and the site left clean
    More on pruning
  2. Tree removal

Where removal is the right call, we work through the tree, the access and what needs to happen around it.

    What’s included

    • A permit check, and the paperwork if one is needed
    • Removal in sections, rigged and lowered where space is tight
    • Green waste taken away and the site swept
    • Stump grinding if you want it, quoted separately
    More on tree removal
  3. Stump grinding

Deal with the stump that’s left, with what the ground is used for next in mind.

    What’s included

    • Ground below the surface, so nothing pushes up through a lawn later
    • Depth agreed for what goes there next: turf, a bed or paving
    • Grindings taken away or left as mulch, your choice
    • Done with a removal, or on its own
    More on stump grinding
  4. Emergency and storm work

A branch or tree has come down. Call 0468 077 782.

    What’s included

    • Keep clear of it and anything it’s touching, especially power lines
    • Call us and we’ll tell you what’s urgent and what can wait
    • The hazard made safe first, then the clean-up planned
    Emergency tree work
  5. Tree reports and advice

Tell us what you need to understand about the tree and what the report is for.

    What’s included

    • Reports to AQF Level 5, for council, a sale, a builder or peace of mind
    • Clause 52.37 reports to support a permit application
    • Plain advice on whether to keep, prune or remove
    • A report supports an application. It doesn’t guarantee approval.
    More on arborist reports
  6. Tree protection

Keep a tree healthy through a build, with protection set out to AS 4970:2025.

    What’s included

    • Arborist input where the tree and the build meet
    • Tree protection zones drawn onto your site plan
    • Protection in place before works start
    • Tree work around construction, coordinated with the builder
    Tree care for builders

Tree permit guide

Is the tree protected?

Victoria’s Clause 52.37 protects larger canopy trees in most residential zones, and your council has the final say. The guide walks through the checks in plain words.
