Land clearing for residential and commercial sites.
Tree removal, vegetation clearance, stump grinding and mulching on residential blocks and development sites. The property controls, retained vegetation and handover condition are agreed before work starts.

Trees, vegetation, stumps, levelling, in one quote.
Land clearing on a residential or commercial site can involve tree work, vegetation and undergrowth clearance, stump grinding and access protection. Where those items fall within our scope, they are set out under one quotation and handover rather than left as assumptions between contractors.
Permit requirements depend on the property, vegetation and proposed work. Clause 52.37, native-vegetation provisions, planning overlays, bushfire requirements, existing permit conditions and council requirements may apply separately. We check the available controls and identify the reports or approvals that need to be in place before clearing is scheduled.
Site handover is mulched, levelled to within 50mm, and ready for the next contractor. Wood chip can either be left on site for re-use as mulch on the eventual garden, or carted offsite. The site is documented with photographs and a written handover note for the builder or owner record.
Indicative land-clearing pricing.
Land clearing pricing is too variable to quote sight-unseen. Here's the range so you know what to budget.
These are Hilly's indicative ranges, not industry averages or a property-specific quote. Access, condition, equipment, approvals, disposal and the final scope can change the price.
Standard suburban block, some mature trees, permit usually required.
- Permit assumptions recorded
- Stump depth specified

The standard process.
Site walk
Free, no obligation. We assess overlays, count trees, check access, talk through builder timing.
Quote + permit pathway
Written quote with itemised scope, plus a clear path on which permits are needed and the timeline.
Approvals confirmed
Required permissions and retained-tree protection are confirmed before the clearing date. Neighbour or council notifications are completed where the approval or site plan requires them.
Clear, mulch, hand over
On-site work runs to schedule. Block handed over photo-documented and slab-ready.
Planning, vegetation and site controls.
An overlay does not produce the same answer on every site. The schedule, exemptions, vegetation type, extent of work and other controls need to be reviewed. We record the assumed approval pathway in the quotation and do not clear regulated vegetation without the required authority.
