What we respond to

Structural failure, weather damage, powerline contact.

An emergency tree call is one where the situation will deteriorate if it waits. This includes whole-tree failure (uprooting or trunk failure), partial failure (limb on a structure or vehicle), trees in contact with overhead powerlines, and trees showing imminent failure indicators after a storm. We're available by phone 24 hours a day and respond to genuine emergencies within two hours in our core service area (eastern and south-eastern Melbourne).

On site, the priority sequence is: secure the area, coordinate with the relevant network operator (CitiPower, Powercor, Ausnet Services) if powerlines are involved, then make-safe the immediate hazard. Full removal and site clean-up is scheduled either immediately or for the following morning depending on lighting, access, and weather. We document the incident with timestamped photographs and a written assessment for insurance purposes.

Melbourne's storm season runs September to March, with the highest-activity window typically November to February. Pre-season inspection of mature trees, particularly eucalypts, liquidambars, and trees with previous limb failure history, identifies most issues before they become emergencies. We recommend a winter health assessment for properties with mature trees over 10 metres.

When you call, here's what happens

Triage on the phone

We ask what's happened, whether anyone's in danger, where you are, and what's safe to do right now.

We dispatch

Within minutes of the call we're on the way. We'll give you a real ETA, not a marketing one.

Make safe first

Secure the area, isolate the hazard, coordinate with powerline authority if needed. Then the removal.

Insurance pack

Photos before/during/after, written assessment, itemised invoice. Sent straight to you or your insurer.

What it costs

Emergency callout, full removal billed separately.

Emergencies have two parts: getting the tree off your house tonight, and the full removal and clean-up that follows.

Council coverage

We coordinate with the right people

Trees on powerlines need the network operator before we touch anything. Trees on council land need council. Trees on private land in a planning overlay still need a permit unless it's a genuine emergency. We sort the right paperwork after we've made you safe.
