What we do

Replacing a patchy or worn-out lawn

If the lawn is patchy, uneven or difficult to look after, it helps to understand why before replacing it. Shade, drainage, soil condition and daily wear all affect how the next lawn will grow. Tell us what is happening now and how you want to use the area.

We discuss the old lawn or vegetation to remove, ground preparation, finished levels and edges before laying the turf. Access matters too: a narrow side path can change how soil and materials reach the backyard. The quote sets out the work for your site.

You can book turf installation on its own. If the project also needs stump grinding, irrigation, planting or changes to the surrounding garden, Hilly's can coordinate the agreed work together. That gives you one contact for the project and a sequence that accounts for the work beneath and around the lawn.

The quote identifies the area, turf, preparation and any associated work. Timing is confirmed for the project.

Prepare and lay

The agreed preparation comes before laying the lawn. We discuss watering, use and mowing for the turf and conditions at handover.
