What we do

Preparing the area for lawn, planting or other work

Stump grinding reduces the stump to wood chip below the ground surface. It can be arranged after tree removal or for an old stump that is now in the way of a lawn, garden or other project.

Tell us what will go in the area afterwards. Grinding does not remove every root, and the required depth, grindings removal and further ground preparation depend on the next use. Paving, footings or construction may need additional work specified by the relevant contractor.

Stump size, nearby structures and the access route affect the equipment and method. Send a photo of the stump and the narrowest access point. We confirm whether a site visit is needed before quoting.

No. Grinding deals with the agreed stump and root area; roots can remain elsewhere in the ground. Some species can also regrow from remaining roots. Tell us what you plan to do with the area so those limits can be discussed.

That is agreed in the quote. Tell us whether you want them removed and whether filling or other ground preparation is needed afterwards.

Send the clear gate width and photos of the whole access route, including turns, steps and slopes. We check equipment access for the site before confirming the job.
